OU HSC Message to Students Interested in a Health Degree

This message is intended for students aspiring to help people
within the health care and research arena.

The OU Health Sciences Center (OU HSC) is a unique environment bringing together multiple disciplines who have the same goal to provide a skilled healthcare workforce for, advocate for improved health outcomes in, and treat with compassion our Oklahoma community. My favorite part of this campus is the amazing student leaders I have the privilege to work with to enhance the student experience, establish community outreach, and serve the people of Oklahoma. From social events in Oklahoma City to cultural events that promote diversity provided by our multicultural student organizations, our campus is not only inclusive but also supportive. My experience here has taught me leadership and humility, and has truly prepared me to take the next step in my career as a business leader and healthcare professional.

Eric Edwards, President
HSC Student Government Association
College of Pharmacy, Class of 2023

Eric Edwards' Top 5 HSC Tips:

As someone who has already gone through the admission process for professional school, I understand how much goes into the process. Applying to programs can be exhausting, navigating campus resources can be confusing, and exploring schools can be expensive and time-consuming. I will say this, yes, it is very overwhelming, but once you find the best fit for you, all of it will be worth it. One thing that I wish I had when I was about to attend HSC is a list of things that would help ease my transition to campus. Take a look at the resources below, and if you need anything, just email HSC Student Affairs at students@ouhsc.edu. They are always more than happy to help!
