Summer 2023 Internships at the National Nuclear Security Administration Minority Serving Institutions

The National Nuclear Security Administration Minority Serving Institutions Internship Program (NNSA-MSIIP) is now accepting applications for internship starting in the summer of 2023.

 

 

About NNSA-MSIIP:

• Open to undergraduate and graduate students at Minority Serving Institutions. 
• Two internship options are available:
• Summer internships: 12-weeks beginning on June 5, 2023, and ending on August 25, 2023. 
• Year-long internships: 12-months beginning on June 5, 2023, and end on May 31, 2024 including full-time participation during the summer and part-time participation during the academic year.
• Financial support includes stipends starting at $750 per week depending on academic status and other allowances to offset the cost of commuting, housing, remote participation, and travel to and from the hosting site.  
• Appointments may be hosted in-person, virtual, or in a hybrid capacity.
• Opportunities are available not only in STEM but also in communication, management, business and law.
• Assignments will take into consideration applicant’s location preferences and disciplines of interest.

Eligibility:

• Be a U.S. citizen.
• Have and maintain a minimum undergraduate or graduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Be enrolled as a part-time or full-time undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited Minority Serving Institutions during the 2022-2023 academic year.
