My name is Rocky Chen and I am an engineering manager at the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (“DEQ”) where I supervise the Construction Permitting Section in DEQ’s Water Quality Division.
We are currently looking for 1-2 engineering interns to work with my group during the fall and spring semesters of the 2022-23 academic school year. The interns will be working alongside the project engineers in the Construction Permitting Section, reviewing plans and specifications for water & sewer infrastructure projects (lines, pumping stations, wells, and treatment facilities).
If you have any engineering students who are completing their Junior year, or are Seniors who are on the “5-year program”, we would be interested in discussing an internship with them.
Also, WQD will probably have some full time engineering positions we will be advertising soon. If you know of any graduating engineers who are looking for a job in the environmental/regulatory field, please let me know. They can find information about the job openings at the following website:
