At the Corps, we design, construct, build, and plan small and large-scale projects that impact our local communities, the environment, our national infrastructure, and our military strength.

And we are not all in the military. In fact, the majority of our team is comprised of civilians, like you.

Working at the Corps as a civilian employee means making a direct contribution to war fighters and their families, supporting overseas contingency operations, developing technology and systems that save the lives of soldiers and civilians, providing disaster relief and risk reduction, and protecting and enhancing the environment and the national economy.

With the Corps, you’ll find a stable and secure work environment with a focus on family life, generous health and retirement benefits, and comparable incentives that will allow you to plan for your long-term future.

It’s an exciting time to work for the Corps. We offer challenging professional, technical and administrative assignments in the U.S. and abroad—each building on a strong tradition of public service extending back more than 200 years.

We engineer solutions to our nation’s toughest challenges. We build careers.

Come join our team.

Remote summer 2021 REU program at University of Pittsburgh/Human Engineering Research Laboratories - May 17th - July 22nd

The University of Pittsburgh’s Human Engineering Research Laboratories (HERL) (www.herl.pitt.edu) will offer our REU program remotely this year from May 17th – July 22nd.  We presented the program remotely last summer and it received very positive reviews from participants.

  • American Student Placements in Rehabilitation Engineering (ASPIRE): https://www.herl.pitt.edu/education/undergrad/aspire
    • ASPIRE is a ten-week research program, sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF), that focuses on research in the rehabilitation engineering and assistive technology fields.  In addition to full participation in an on-going research project, students write a project paper, develop a poster, and compete in an elevator pitch competition.  The program concludes with Student Symposium where the winners of the best paper, poster, and elevator pitch are recognized.

The ASPIRE REU program aligns with HERL’s mission to continuously improve the mobility and function of people with disabilities through advance engineering in clinical research and medical rehabilitation. Students in all areas (especially all engineering programs, math, and computer science) are encouraged to apply. The application deadline is Friday, March 12, 2021.

Feel free to share the attached program flyer with any interested party. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to drop me line.
