The annual salary for this position is up to $55,000 based on education and experience.


Job Description

Basic Purpose

The Website Content Manager will manage all published content on the Oklahoma State Department of Health’s website. The primary purpose of the Website Content Manager is to develop content guidelines, review current content and update for accuracy, clarity and consistency. 

Typical Functions

·       Manage all published content for the Oklahoma State Department of Health’s website, including

program area sites.

·       Edit, post and update all website content.

·       Develop and adhere to a content calendar that aligns with the service areas’ initiatives and

goals.

·       Ensure alignment with agency branding and voice across all content platforms.

·       Plan and execute a content strategy that drives high engagement.

·       Serve as editor for all content to ensure accuracy, clarity and consistency.

·       Analyze current website metrics to adjust content.

·       Meet with department leaders to review current content and update new platform.

·       Provide written or oral updates to Leadership on status of website update.

·       Stay up-to-date on trends, best practices and accessibility functionality.

·       Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

The requirements at this level consist of a bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or Computer Science or 5 years of related work experience. Experience in using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies

  • Knowledge of website problems, principles and practices
  • Knowledge of theoretical concepts of website development and management
  • Application of theoretical concepts of website development and management
  • Ability to use computers and applicable software solutions to demonstrate cultural competence in working with diverse populations.
