About the Job
Texas Instruments (TI) is currently looking for a service-minded and experienced Health and Safety Specialist with Risk Management Plan (RMP) and Process Safety Management (PSM) program experience for our company. If you have a passion for promoting a positive safety culture and a knowledge of job site safety requirements coupled with an interest in contributing directly to the bottom line of a multi-billion dollar organization, this may be the position for you!

Responsibilities include:

  • Implement and maintain compliance for site’s Risk Management Plan (RMP) / Process Safety Management (PSM) program
  • Lead monthly RMP/PSM cross functional team meetings
  • Ensure Risk Management Plan is maintained and keep up to date with regulatory agencies
  • Serve as liaison with regulatory agencies during inspections
  • Evaluate and assess ESH risks (e.g. chemical / gas, electrical, and mechanical risks) associated with process and support equipment
  • Review and approve engineering change notices associated with equipment
  • Work with site personnel to conduct Job Hazard Assessments and ensure PPE and other safety requirements are incorporated into process and procedures as necessary
  • Provide safety technical support to ensure compliance with regulatory and TI ESH Standard requirements
  • Conduct regulatory reviews, implement necessary changes and communicate to affected personnel
  • Drive improvements in the ESH culture to attain benchmark results among TIer’s and suppliers
  • Develop and present regulatory-required training
  • Perform and support work area audits and inspections
  • Develop/approve work practice procedures and provide cost-effective risk reduction recommendations
  • Maintain ESH program documentation
  • Implement and maintain compliance for site’s Process Safety Management (PSM) Program
  • Support new equipment review and installation
  • Support the maintenance of an ISO-compliant ESH management system
  • Participate in weekly and quarterly factory meetings across multiple shifts
  • Respond to and provide ESH support during emergencies

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in safety, engineering or related field
  • 5 years’ experience in Risk Management Plan (RMP) & Process Safety Management (PSM)
