Description
The purpose of this position is to provide technical input and direction to the design and evaluation of new product concepts. They will work in a team environment applying their knowledge of engineering principles and the physical sciences to develop new products.
Responsibilities
- Design and acquire required test equipment /fixtures from vendors
- Conduct product evaluations
- Setup and execute laboratory testing
- Document tests conducted, results, problems encountered and the solutions developed
- Participate in global cross-functional teams, including marketing, designers, manufacturing, sales and procurement
- May perform other duties as assigned
Additional Information
- Commitment to a full time (40 hours a week) Summer/Fall co-op experience in McKinney, TX fromJune 2019 through mid-December 2019 OR Mid- August to mid-December 2019.
- Fully furnished apartments will be provided to students who are not from the area.

- Junior-level status, or above, working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required. Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Aerospace Engineering or Agricultural Engineering preferred.
- High Mechanical aptitude.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint required.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and written.
