I-CCEW Internship Applications Due Friday, Oct 25!

Apply by noon on Friday, October 25th for I-CCEW Spring 2020 Internships!

I-CCEW intern teams tackle big projects with huge potential! Applications consist of a short essay, one letter of recommendation, an OU transcript, and your resume and are due Friday, October 25th, at noon. No incomplete or late applications will be accepted.

Students of all majors have the opportunity to work on projects with four key elements:

  • IMPACT: I-CCEW projects solve real-world problems that change industries, economies, and people’s lives. This semester, our Social Entrepreneurship team is working to identify new revenue streams for an OU program that identifies novel fungi for use in cancer research.
  • CHALLENGE: Projects that engage the brightest minds on campus for a full semester have unique aspects which provide an intriguing challenge. This semester’s Software Business Accelerator (SoBA)  team is working with Consumer Affairs, a fast-growing, Tulsa-based customer advocacy website to identify new market opportunities and physically create mock-ups to demonstrate the software’s functionality in a business setting.
  • ENTREPRENEURIAL NEED: I-CCEW’s Oklahoma Funding Accelerator works with local entrepreneurs who need hands-on assistance to make their business ideas a reality. This semester’s Consulting Associates are realizing the potential of new market applications for a novel OU technology that optimizes spectroscopic studies in the oil and gas industry , a growth plan for an OKC-based massage therapy practice, increased sales and revenue for a Norman-based craft brewery and taproom, and the expansion plan for a Norman-based boutique manufacturer of reusable and stylish food and beverage containers.
  • INNOVATION: I-CCEW teams think big and take ownership of their projects, putting their research, problem-solving, and creativity into actionable recommendations for their clients. This semester’s Agile Product Design team is partnered with an OUHSC professor to design and iteratively prototype a wearable device that delivers haptic feedback to help Parkinson’s patients overcome episodes of “freezing of gait.”
