Internship Opportunity with Engineering Services and Testing, Inc

Job Description: Applications are invited from qualified students for a year-long internship with Engineering Services and Testing (EST), Inc. to develop improved approaches for estimating bearing capacity of soil based on laboratory and field data available at the company and new data to be collected during the course of this project, which is co-funded by the Oklahoma Center for Advancement of Science and Technology (OCAST).

Requirement: The student selected for this position is expected to have a strong background in soil mechanics and soil testing, including unsaturated soil, and in modeling (statistical and artificial intelligence-based). The intern is expected to work about 1,000 hours per year (30 to 40 hours per week in summer and 15 hours per week during the academic year, on an average).

Pay and Location: The hourly rate ($20 to $23) depends on the experience. The intern is expected to work at EST’s office (615 N. Hudson, Ste. 300, Oklahoma City, OK 73102 or 480 24th Ave NW #244, Norman, OK 73069), in the field, and in OU laboratories.
