Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education is currently accepting applications for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Science, Technology and Policy (STP) Fossil Energy and Carbon Management Office (FECM).

What will I be doing? The FECM is seeking motivated students, postgraduates, and faculty to participate in projects at the forefront of the clean energy transition, helping to address the climate crisis through a 12-month full-time fellowship with FECM. As a participant, you will become part of a team and be mentored by highly-trained staff that support the DOE's priorities to combat the climate crisis, create clean energy union jobs, and promote energy justice. 

Why should I apply? You will gain insight into the Federal government’s role in the creation of clean energy technologies research and development. You will also be provided an opportunity to contribute to a project or projects related to energy and climate change policies by applying scientific and technical knowledge, continue your education and involvement in areas that support the DOE mission either in a technical or policy-related role, and gain insight into career opportunities through your experiences and under the leadership of your mentor.
