National Nuclear Security Administration MSIPP Program – Apply Now for 2022!

 The National Nuclear Security Administration’s Minority Serving Institution Partnership Program (NNSA MSIPP) offers full-time summer internships, with some opportunities to continue part-time during the academic year.  Undergraduate and graduate students studying part-time or full-time at accredited Minority Serving Institutions receive:

 

·       Financial support including stipends starting at $750 per week plus allowances to offset the cost of commuting, housing and travel to and from the hosting site.  Appointments may be hosted virtually.

·       Opportunities to:

o   Be part of world-class research and operations opportunities within the NNSA enterprise.

o   Enhance your preparedness for scientific, technological and policy related-careers.

o   Gain a competitive edge as you apply your education, talent, and skills.

o   Establish connections with DOE scientists and subject matter experts that promote long-term relationships between yourself, researchers, and DOE.

A project catalog with descriptions of projects is available to help you tailor your internship to your interests and academic background. Opportunities are available not only in STEM but also in communication, management, business and law. Select up to three projects of interest in your application.

Eligibility:

·       Be a U.S. citizen.

·       Have and maintain a minimum undergraduate or graduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

·       Be enrolled as a part-time or full-time undergraduate or graduate student an accredited Minority Serving Institution.
