VIEW ALL OF OUR CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Research Participation Program is managed by the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) under an agreement between the CDC and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). The CDC collaborates to create the expertise, information, and tools that people and communities need to protect their health – through health promotion; prevention of disease, injury and disability; and preparedness for new health threats. The CDC ORISE programs are considered a valuable human capital and workforce development tool, which provide educational experiences and training in public health as a means to introduce highly motivated participants to potential public health careers.
