Paid Summer Internships with the Department of Energy

Paid Summer Internships with the Department of Energy

As students are returning to school and before things start to get too busy I hope you will share with them this opportunity for a great summer internship. They still have time to complete their application. Which of your students needs a great summer internship to boost their confidence and bolster their resume?  I know from my experience as a community college dean that a personal invitation often gives students the courage to reach for something that they might not otherwise have considered, and I am hoping you will think of students who will benefit from a great summer internship and encourage them to apply.  Here are the details on this opportunity:

Program:  Minority Serving Educational Institute Student Partnership Program (MEISPP)

Majors:  All majors

Open to: US citizens who are undergraduates, graduate students, recent graduates (since Spring 2022) at/from eligible MSIs

What: Opportunities at DOE offices and labs all over the U.S. (though mostly with DOE HQ in Washington, DC)

Dates: May 20 – August 9; extensions into academic year possible (dates are flexible for students on quarter systems)

Mode: In-person and virtual opportunities

Stipends: $9,900 - $21,000, depending on participation mode and educational level.

There are two more webinars that provide program details and tips on the application process. You and your students / recent graduates are welcome to attend:
